As it turns out, my first guess for this month’s box is correct! The snacks here actually come from Brazil. Based on that, I already know that the snacks will be interesting. I think I should just go straight into the review and not ramble too much, because I know that you’re only here for the snacks review. Before that, here are the photos of the booklet and card.

The Snacks:

Mandioca Chips Cebola: From the first bite, the onion flavor is quite intense, but the aftertaste is more mild. To be honest, it’s not the most delicious during the first bite. Though as you eat on, the flavor becomes more addicting. It’s reminiscent of a Funyun, but the texture isn’t as memorable as a Funyun. Even so, I might eat these again if they were available. 3.6/5

Bib’s Morango Extreme: This is white chocolate with strawberry bits. Out of the package, it smells good. And I like the taste more than I thought I would. I’m not typically a fan of any kind of fruit in chocolate, but I actually like this. Then again, the fruit flavor is artificial. But then again, some candies I’m not a fan of even with artificial fruit flavoring. This is one of the higher-ranked fruit flavored candies. 3.5/5

Delicitos Sabor Pimenta: This snack is definitely more on the mild side. At first, I tasted more cracker than flavor. But as I ate on, some more heat came out, which, the snack does have chili pepper seasoning. The taste makes me think that there’s a okra-like texture. It gives my mouth a slimy feel. While that’s not a bad thing, the snack doesn’t do much for me overall. Although, I will give it a bit of credit for being something quite different. 3.25/5

Pacoquita Original: The candy doesn’t look appealing when out of the wrapper. When you bite into it, nothing about it is really bad. Though the flavor is pretty typical for a peanut candy. The texture and color reminds me of the peanut butter in a Do-Si-Dos Girl Scout Cookie. There’s nothing about it that’s so good, but like I said, it’s an average flavor. Nothing about it that you couldn’t get in another peanut candy. 3.5/5

Pipoca Doce Bilu: The popcorn in the bag looks so much like Honey Smacks cereal. Although, the sweetness is much more mild than a Honey Smack and the texture is different too. My aunt (who tried the snacks with me today) suggested that we could put the popcorn in some milk. Popcorn and milk does sound odd, but this popcorn probably could do better with some milk. With that, it might taste just as good as Honey Smacks. I won’t try that, because popcorn and milk don’t mix. I’ll just sum it up and say that this snack could use some more sweetness. Not too sweet, but if it had 1-2 hits more sweetness, this snack would hit the spot. 3.7/5

Bib’s Flocos: This is reminiscent of the Hershey’s Krackel chocolate. In fact, I would call it the dark chocolate version of the Krackel. Only difference is that this is far more rich and addicting than a Hershey’s Krackel. This has a good dark chocolate taste without being too overpowering. The rice adds the addicting crunch and texture. There’s more of the bar left, but I’m so addicted to the taste. I would have another one, but I don’t want to eat all of the bar now. In fact, I’ll eat a couple more pieces, because this is so good! 4.8/5

Caramelos Premium Torta de Limao: This is a caramel from the Yum Bag. In fact, I’ve received some type of caramel from every box I’ve tried so far. It’s supposed to be a Lime Pie flavored caramel. But it doesn’t taste very much like such. The flavor is mixed with milk caramel, but I was looking for more of that lime pie flavor. Though to be honest, even if the flavor was just right, I still wouldn’t be a fan of it due to this candy not being my type. 3/5

Caramelos Premium Mousse de Maracuja: This is a passion fruit flavored caramel, and like the previous one, there’s not a whole lot of flavor. I taste a bit of the passion fruit flavor as I eat it, but it’s very mild. But once again, even if the flavor was just right, I still wouldn’t be a fan, because it’s not my type of candy. 3/5

Final Verdict: Overall, this box is actually better than the previous two boxes I had. By that, I mean that the snacks are better to me. The ratings still might not be that high, but even so, some snacks have an addicting flavor that can be pretty satisfying. I’m definitely getting the Bib’s Flocos again, because that was awesome. I would like the Mandioca Chips Cebola again too, because they were memorable and addicting. The Pipoca Doce Bilu was kind of addicting too, despite the mild sweetness.

I already know what the next box will be. It will not consist of snacks from only one country, but it will consist of snacks from a group of countries. Can you guess what group of countries I’m talking about? I’m not telling you, but stick around to find that out in the next cultural snacks review!
