Rich results in Google's SERP when searching 'Colombian snacks'

Alright, remember the hint I gave you about what the last country would be? It’s where Shakira was born. If you guessed Colombia, you are correct! And lord, I cannot WAIT to try estos tentempies colombianos. That translates to “these Colombian snacks” in English by the way. Unfortunately, this will be the last box I review (at least for now), but how about I go ahead and cut to the chase? Yeah. Let me do that before I ramble.

The Snacks:

Milk Chocolate Nougat Bar: One could say that this is reminiscent of the Three Musketeers, and even the booklet says so. I haven’t had a Three Musketeers bar in ages, so I cannot compare them to each other. However, I feel like peanuts would’ve made this bar stronger. The added crunch from the peanuts would’ve complimented it better, and I would’ve given this a higher rating. 3.7/5

White Chocolate Cookies & Cream Clusters: The texture and taste of the cookie is really good! The sweetness is satisfying, and I can taste the cookies & cream flavor. You might be thinking to yourself, “duh!” But make no mistake. Not all snacks have enough of their described flavor in them. One critique I will make is that I can see why one would consider it too sweet. However, I do really like these clusters overall. 4.2/5

Passion Fruit Lollipop: This one is interesting. I have never consumed Passion Fruit in any form before, but I like it. It reminds me of what I would taste in a fruit juice. The only bad thing is that there is a bubblegum center, and I am not big on blow pops. So even while sucking on a blow pop, getting to that part ruins my vibe. 3.65/5

Mayonnaise Potato Chips: Oh my word. I don’t like mayonnaise as it is. Why do I have to eat mayonnaise chips? But of course, it is my responsibility to try everything and give my verdict. I was high-key disgusted about having a mayonnaise flavor in my mouth. But honestly, they weren’t that bad. Even so, my rating may be a little unfair due to being biased against mayonnaise. 3.6/5

Cafe con Leche Toffee: Considering that I am sucking on this candy at night and it has coffee, I am probably going to be staying up at night. Okay, just kidding. Jokes aside, this is actually interesting. I can imagine actually tasting coffee, and I like the flavor. I’m going to give this a good rating, because sucking this candy is a pleasant experience. 3.85/5

Coconut Cream Chocolate Wafer: The balance between the chocolate and coconut flavors are satisfying. Remember all those wafers I tried in my previous box? That is what seeing that pack of wafers reminds me of. Though away from that, I like how the flavors are moderate and satisfying. In fact, I actually like snacks that have sweetness without being too overpowering. Those kinds of snacks get bonus points from me. 4.5/5

Fruity Penguin Gummies: When I saw the word “gummies” in the booklet, I knew that I was in for a real treat. These are foam gummies, and you can say that they are reminiscent of the American foam gummies (if you know what I am talking about). They are also sour, but they are not too sour. They aren’t bad, but I don’t think I would take this over a standard gummy. 3.75/5

Bacon & Lime Chips: Lime and bacon chips? Ehh…. okay. The first bite was quite something, but then the lime flavor started to kick in. I think the texture of these is good, but I don’t know if the lime flavor was necessary. It makes this more weird (which is an interesting factor), but maybe a different flavor besides lime would’ve been better. Barbeque would’ve been interesting, and sour cream and onion would’ve been good as well. But ranking off of what I have, this would’ve been more passable on their own. 3.4/5

Final Verdict: Eight boxes and around 60 snacks later, I am now able to report the grand prize winner of the highest ranked box in this series. Congratulations to this month’s box, which has a higher rating than all of the previous boxes! Okay, this is not a formal award. Seriously though, with nearly all the snacks being passable and a couple of them being very good, the scores combine to make the highest average of all the boxes. Here’s the final ranking of every box:

  1. Colombia (3.83/5)
  2. Egypt (3.62/5)
  3. Brazil (3.54/5)
  4. Scandinavia (3.45/5)
  5. The Philippines (3.43/5)
  6. The United Kingdom (3.31/5)
  7. Poland (3.17/5)
  8. France (3/5)

And that is all for now, folks! It is sad to see my subscription box journey end for now. However, I intend to have many more subscription box reviews on my platform in the future! A little far-fetched, I would say. But don’t worry. Lots of fun content will still be published. Stick around for my next article!
